Practice management and EHR

Epic billing and AR support

We put trained full-time people inside your own Epic tenant, through a login you issue, working US hours. No migration, no software to buy, one month minimum.

We are not a partner, reseller or certified vendor of Epic

Epic (also known as Epic Systems, Resolute, Hyperspace) is a product of its own vendor and the name is their trademark. We have built nothing with them, we are endorsed by none of them, and we hold no product certification. What we do is put a trained person into your tenant, under your login, to work your queues. That is the whole claim, and it is checkable on your first call.

What it is

A large enterprise EHR used by health systems, academic medical centres and the practices affiliated with them. Professional and hospital billing are separate modules.

Who runs it: Hospital-owned practices, faculty groups and clinics operating inside a health system’s instance rather than their own.

How the money moves through it

Work is organized into follow-up work queues with routing rules, and most AR work is done by working an assigned queue rather than by searching for claims. Access is granted by the health system’s own security team against a defined role, so what a seat can see is decided by the template your IT department assigns.

The queues a seat works

  • Assigned professional-billing follow-up work queues
  • Claim edit work queues holding claims that have not been released
  • Denial work queues routed by reason and payer
  • Credit balance and refund queues

What a seat does, day to day

A seat works the queues your billing office assigns, under a named login your own security team issues against a role they choose. We ask for the narrowest role that covers the queue, not for broad access.

What goes wrong here

  • Access is the long pole. Epic credentialing and training requirements are set by the host health system and can take weeks — start that before agreeing a go-live date.
  • Queue routing rules decide what a person ever sees, so a queue with a bad rule can hide a whole category of denial from everybody working it.

What this costs

An ar calling & denial management seat working your Epic queues is $1,700 a month, full time, one month minimum.

Questions

Do you work in Epic?

Yes — inside your own tenant, through a login you issue. We do not migrate you, we do not require a software change, and we are not a partner, reseller or certified vendor of Epic. A seat is a trained person working your queues.

What does a seat actually do in Epic?

A seat works the queues your billing office assigns, under a named login your own security team issues against a role they choose. We ask for the narrowest role that covers the queue, not for broad access.

What does it cost?

Seats run from $1,500 to $2,500 a month depending on the role, published per role on the pricing page. One month minimum, so the practice risks one month to find out whether it works.

How does access work?

You issue a named login with the narrowest role that covers the queue. A signed business associate agreement is in place before any credential is issued, never after.
