Late-paid clean claims accrue statutory interest automatically at 12% per year, with the clock keyed to claim media: "interest which shall accrue at the rate of twelve percent per annum commencing on the thirty-first day after receipt of a complete electronic claim or on the forty-first day after receipt of a complete written claim."
